In a game that lived up to its “shootout” billing, the Lions defense couldn’t get the stops they needed to outscore the Raiders. Detroit Lions Podcast Laments Opportunities Lost On a day when the rest of the NFC lost, the Lions proved again that they can’t seize the opportunity. Much like the game against the Green Bay Packers, the Lions couldn’t seal a win that was within their grasp. A win that would have changed the calculus on the season. This is a problem that has plagued this franchise for years, and Chris finds it absolutely inexplicable. The phone calls this week represent a disappointed fan base, and rightfully so. Chris reminds listeners that while the wins aren’t there, this team has been in every game until the very end this year – except one. It is an improvement over last year, just not as much as we wanted from this team. Things are getting to a point where folks need those W’s to believe – and Coach Patricia and Bob Quinn need to start delivering.
