0:40.9	cave. As you'll recall, in the cave we are presented with a scenario in which
0:46.3	people have spent their entire lives tied up inside of a dark cave looking at a blank wall.
0:57.0	Behind the prisoners there is a roaring fire in front of which various objects move, casting shadows on the wall in front of the prisoners, which they mistake for reality.

1:36.0	grappling with the apparently synthetic nature of our perceived reality.
1:40.0	We asked deep questions about both the nature of the world in which we find ourselves and who or what might be behind this seemingly simulated reality.

1:55.0	I say attempt because this process isn't easy, nor is it straightforward.
