cosmopolitan, it would just probably appear next to you at the pool.

And this evening, we have a special guest coming to us all the way from Vermont, Dana Freeman, who runs the Dana Freeman Travel blog.

And Dana, we just wanted to start by welcoming you to the show.

Thanks so much for having me.

I'm so excited to be here today. We're excited to talk to you. So this show for all of our listeners is going to be a little bit different. We're Disney focused podcast, Disney Cruise Lines, our first love. But to sort of set this up, Dana is not a Disney cruiser. Dana is a luxury cruiser, however, and a travel blogger. And Sam and I read her profile, actually, in Paul Thornton's Joy of Cruising book, prep for an interview we did with him.

And we thought it'd be fun to have Dana on because I think a lot of us look at the price point that we pay to go on a Disney cruise.

And it sits kind of in that luxury market space for cruising.

And so Dana has a lot of experience with some

luxury cruising, some alternative kinds of cruising like river cruising and barge cruising,

which is a space that Disney is pushing into with Adventures by Disney. And so we thought it'd

be just interesting to have her on for her perspectives around luxury cruising so folks know

what else is out there in case it piques your interest and you want to give it a try. I know Sam and I just recently booked a cruise on Norwegian cruise line for Alaska because we couldn't resist the fact that that ship sails right out of a downtown of our home city, Seattle and puts us right back where we started so we don't have to fly anywhere to take the ship. So it's good, I think, occasionally to remind yourself

as much as we love Disney Cruise Line, what else is out there so that we can make sure that Disney's

still offering the value for the price point at pace. And also because we're really jealous of all of the

luxury cruising that Dana has done. I got to say, I got to say after reading your profile, Dana,

I was super, super jealous.

You know what you like.

That doesn't mean that you can't have something else or try something else.

Exactly.

Just because your favorite flavor is vanilla doesn't mean you can't try Rocky Road every once in a while.
