Lightning in Holman, live from the Mhavi Desert, it is Olaf 2022, that's O-L-A-F, overlanding ass!

All right, so we are at the overlanding adventure family in Katman here in

August, California. No, this is awesome. We were invited out by our friend Rory, who we will go

talk to you shortly, but we decided it was time for an entire show out in the middle of nowhere,

and we are literally out in the middle of nowhere. We're about 10 miles north of the 40, right off

the old trace of Route 66, and a little town called Goffs, which is about 40 miles west of needles,

and it's the front doorstep to the Mhavi National Preserve, and a ton of awesome BLM lands,

so for adventuring and off-roading and history, there isn't a better place out here, and the

Mhavi Desert Heritage and Cultural Association's headquarters is right here in Goffs, and you can

see behind us. Well, lightning, you can see behind me. Yes, yes, thank you.

Restored Goffs Schoolhouse, which serves as the museum, and then there's an amazing outdoor

museum here that has all these artifacts. In fact, today, you had a chance to see a real stant mill

that's like over a hundred years old operating. You walk up to your like, well, that's too dilapidated.

It's running! Right? Yeah, no, it's very cool. There's going to be a blacksmith out here,

there's going to be first-class miners allowing people to pan for gold and learn how to pan for gold.

We're going to bring you that audio, for sure. So, Quinn, my 16-year-old and I were walking around,

just before we fired up the podcast, and it's interesting, there's all these little rock trails.

Well, they're not, okay, sand, they're rocks that make a trail. Like, someone was either super

duper stoned or really bored and made all of these trails out here, so you go from like

little artifact area to little artifact area, and it's super bizarre. Lightning, it's an outdoor

museum, these are the pathways to guide you. No, no, no, no, the stuff, no, no, no, no, so there's

no plaques that say, you're in 19, no, absolutely, there's, okay, where you look, there's little
