Today I'm going to be taking you behind the scenes of my new fitness adventure. It has been

0:06.6

quite some time now, actually years, probably a lot of years, that I've been trying to figure out

0:13.5

how to prioritize my fitness not only as a mom, but now as a work-from-home mom. For those of you

0:20.6

that are new around here, I've been a work-from-home mom. For those of you that are new around here,

0:22.1

I've been a work-from-home mom for several years, and before that, I worked in the corporate

0:28.1

industry. I was a sign language interpreter, and I was constantly on the go, and then I got married,

0:35.2

and I had kettos, and then I started a business from home.

0:39.8

And throughout that whole process, I've been, you know, what I like to call an amateur adult

0:45.2

athlete where, you know, I've always been involved in some kind of physical activity

0:51.8

for as long as I can remember since I was a really small child.

0:56.6

I've always been doing something slightly competitive, but more so just for the sake of being

1:02.9

able to stretch and explore my body's physical and mental capacity and strengths through fitness, through exercise. And along

1:13.7

with that came nutrition. I've had my own journey with autoimmune health disorders,

1:19.0

specifically related to my gut, which, you know, is another conversation. Most of those things

1:24.0

do come from our gut. But I had severe, severe issues with just specific foods that

1:31.0

I could and couldn't eat for so many years and had a lot of restrictions. And all of that really

1:37.2

led me to this place where I knew on a regular basis that I wanted and needed to be prioritizing my health. The hardest part about that,

1:48.4

though, is when you become a mom and you care a lot about making sure that your husband's needs are

1:53.6

met and you care a lot about taking care of your home and you want to keep it well put together

1:59.6

or even just at best not have dishes in the

2:03.1

sink every night, keep up on everyone's laundry, vacuum the crumbs up off the floor,

2:07.7

make sure that your toilets are cleaned in your bathtub, doesn't have crime in it, you know?
