Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona has distinguished himself as one of the few Republican voices

in Congress who has been willing to take on President Trump.

And for his efforts, he's now on his way out of the United States Senate having announced

that he won't run because he can't win a Republican primary.

I sat down with Senator Flake the other day for my Axviles TV show on CNN.

You know, I remember hearing about you when you came to the house and people said, this

guy is going places, this guy is the face of the new conservative woman.

And now you're leaving.

And not entirely voluntarily.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and say, what happened?

Yeah, I do.

So I've been here a while, 12 years in the house.
