The Professional and Beauty Federation has also been fighting the deregulation effort that's

happening in Sacramento. If you don't know about it, I'm not surprised because the other associations

that are nationally oriented have not put out a lot of information. Our industry, as you might

know now, is regulated on the state-by-state level. That's why the Professional Beauty

Federation of California is so important. That's why I'm going to dedicate some time into advocating for our 621,000 licensed beauty professionals here in California.

One of the things that the PBFC has been doing since the COVID shutdowns is getting

PPP loans for beauty professionals.

If you didn't know about this, the PBFC has directly administered more than 10,000

PPP loans to beauty professionals in California and nationwide.

And it's now leading the charge on this nerdy little thing called the Employee Retention Tax Credit,

which is this very esoteric thing that the federal government put into their last stimulus program.
