We are almost ready for summer break.

The Bears wrap up veteran minicamp this week at Hallis Hall. They break for about five weeks. And as Matt Nagy said,

you just hope the players stay out of the newspapers in this stretch. I want to start the podcast

with this, though, because Moon, you had an interesting line of questioning for Mitch Trubesky here on Wednesday about his contract and the

fact that he is represented by the same agency as Carson Wentz which just got a

deal done that guaranteed once over a hundred million dollars in a six-year

contract that going into Wentz's after once Wence played three years. Right.

So if we're looking at that, in a year, we're going to be talking about Mitch Trubisky

with the same agent, maybe getting something similar.

So before we dive into that, I want to play the sound of the questions you asked Mitch Trubisky.

So here is what Mitch had to say at his press conference today at Hallis Hall.

I think as long as I can play here in Chicago, I want to play this game as long as possible,

and I want to do it as long as I can here in Chicago. So I think we're building something great here.

I love the city. I love the fans. And I love where I live. I love coming to work at Howlitz Hall every day. And I love my teammates. So for me, it's just take it one day at a time and embrace the process. But that's the goal for sure.

All right, Moon, so what was your takeaway that you got from Mitch's answer about wanting to play his entire career in Chicago?

You know, it was interesting. It wasn't so much, I'm going back to the weekend, what really

prompted me, besides obviously the Wendst deal getting done with the same agents, was the way he

talked as part of the 100th anniversary the weekend when he and McMahon in particular were on the same

stage. And it it was everybody says

that i want to spend my career here you just want to feel loved and so forth it was more than
