Summary

Whether it's production runs, flow of product, financing needs, finding equity, resolving customer issues, or clearing work blockages, people build up a mirage of rules and explain away why they can't get through this problem. What they lack is a sort of freedom mindset - a creative approach - to be able to chart a path toward solving the problem. Some people are stuck finding the lights for their facility. Others are on their way to Mars.

0:55.8	whether it's creating, growing, or improving their business, are stuck behind a mirage of blockage
1:01.3	that doesn't actually exist, at least not in the way they think. They have set up for themselves
1:06.6	a bunch of rules and reasons for why what they're trying to do cannot be done and let those
1:11.7	reasons hold back their action. Every direction they look, there's something in the way. Maybe they
1:16.7	try to clear the blockage, but once they receive some sort of pushback, they resort back to where they
1:21.2	were. You can't flow product that way. Customers won't be willing to hold the material. I can't
1:26.3	reduce setup times. We don't have enough
1:28.2	resources. You can't package those items together. Regulators would never let me get away with doing it
1:33.4	that way. Whatever you're trying to do, there are a variety of obstacles that get in the way. The
1:38.4	obstacles are not a mirage. They're real, especially if you're trying to build something that hasn't been
1:43.1	done before or hasn't been done by you before.
1:46.0	Yes, there will be obstacles. That's as it should be. What isn't as it should be is thinking the obstacles are impossibilities.
1:53.1	Some people turn speed bumps they can drive over into city walls they cannot scale. That's the mirage.
