There are two questions that I need you to ask. Your mayor, your city council, your local elected officials, your state representatives, your state legislature, your governor, because they're going to have to happen at least for now.

They're going to have to happen on the local level.

Have they stopped all evictions and have they banned the shut off of all utilities.

Do you hear what I'm saying?

I need you, I don't mean theoretically, I mean practically,

I need you to ask the elected officials in your city, in your state, have they

put a ban on evictions and the shutting off of utilities.

I'm going to break this issue down.

Some cities have already started that,

but we need your city, your state to be next.

there is an eviction crisis.

And I'm not even talking about related to the coronavirus.

I'm talking about before the coronavirus

when it was alleged that we had a good healthy economy right now and this is I'm talking about right up until the coronavirus

There were four evictions in this country, four evictions every minute, all day, 24 hours a day, every day,

365 days a year.

That's over 2 million families every year at risk of losing their home.

2 million evictions per year. Why is that? It's because housing prices are skyrocketing and they have been for years

particularly in coastal cities but not just that, not just in San Francisco where rent is so high in the entire Bay Area of

California really in almost all of California here in Brooklyn where I live but
