First let me say a very happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

I hope you're enjoying the incomparable blessings of family and friends.

First Americans remember Kathleen Sibelius as the HHS secretary who helped shepherd the

Affordable Care Act debate and then administered the law.

But she also was a two-term governor of Kansas, the daughter of Jack Gilligan, the late governor

of Ohio, remains the only father and daughter governors in the history of the Republic.

She was a fellow at the Institute of Politics this fall and we sat down the other day to

talk about her life and career.

The health care law she helped inaugurate and the evolving rash of revelations about sexual

harassment.

Kathleen Sibelius, it's great to see you and great to have you at the Institute of Politics.

You've been a wonderful presence around here.

Well it's been an amazing experience.

I didn't know what to expect and it has exceeded all my expectations.

I told you that was to be there.

It's been a lot of fun.

So no one probably around here has as deep a relationship with politics as you did.

You grew up with it all around you.

I did.
