Hey, you doing Ann? I'm doing well. Brian, tell us a little bit about yourself.

So I'm a high school English teacher. I teach at Miller Place High School. It's on Long Island.

I'm about 60 miles outside New York City, but I also do some things outside the classroom. So

I coach bass, basketball, technically that's in the school but not necessarily in the classroom.

I also host a podcast for teachers, called Talks with Teachers. I do some writing on my site

for other educational publications. And then recently just to pittle around because I don't have

enough to do, I started a blog called Wisdom of Man where I just occasionally share thoughts on

things that are stimulating to me, whether it's something that I'm reading or just from my own

life experiences, the wisdom that I've gathered that could be passed on to others.

That sounds very interesting. Now where does reading fit into all that?

Um, that's a great question because the more commitments I have, the less time I have

to read, but what I tried to do is find pockets of reading. And I think as an English teacher,
