Hi, everybody. Tom Woods here. I've got Gene Epstein here with me today, and I know

because of the virus and the talks I've been giving, I've got a whole bunch of new listeners

who may not know Gene Epstein, who is a favorite on the Tom Woods Show. And he's another guy.

You really need to get to know Gene is the former economics and book review editor at Baren's,

which, as you know, is a pretty important financial publication. He now directs the Soho Forum,

which is an outstanding libertarian debate series in New York City. And I just like to get Gene's

opinion on pretty much everything. So we're going to talk about what's going on with the economy

right now with COVID, and then we're going to talk more about what's actually going on with the virus

itself. But before we do that, in this conversation that I have with him, we spend a little time

on what might seem like small talk. And I know that if you're new to the Tom Woods Show,

maybe the name Gene Epstein doesn't mean anything to you, this small talk might not seem important,

but to me it is. So I kept it in because we're talking about, among other things,

something very important, I think, that we did over the weekend. He and his home and me in mine.

And so we talk a little bit about that. If you must skip over that, go ahead and do so. But at

least I think the long time listeners will enjoy hearing this stuff. And I just like hearing from

Gene Period. So here we go with my conversation with Gene Epstein and Joy. Gene, welcome back.

Tom, it's nice to be back, especially since we both had big parties last night. I had 20 guests and

you had 100 guests. And so we both have to catch up on the great parties that we've been throwing.
