Embracing Wabi-Sabi: The Philosophy of Imperfect Growth Wabi-sabi is more than just a concept—it's a powerful approach to personal development. At its core, it's about accepting imperfection and finding beauty in life's natural progression. This philosophy teaches us to: Embrace our unique journey Stop comparing ourselves to others Find contentment in the present moment Accept life with all its challenges Key Areas of Personal Transformation 1. Nutrition and Wellness Mindful Eating: Focus on whole, natural foods. Eliminate Processed Foods: Remove items that don't serve your health. Holistic Approach: Consider nutrition from all five wellness zones. 2. Self-Improvement Strategies Self-Discovery: Identify your true passions and strengths. Goal Setting: Create realistic, achievable objectives. Skill Building: Continuously learn and grow. Resilience: Develop the courage to overcome obstacles. Practical Steps for Personal Growth Embrace Change Change is inevitable and essential for growth. Happy New Year to all of you out there. Welcome to the Wabi-Sabi podcast. This is episode

0:07.0

number 173. Well, it is that time of year to get really healthy and to feel really good.

0:14.2

I did go to bed early last night. I am going to go to my workout today. I do have the today's show

0:20.2

in T-minus six days. I'm not fake. I'm the real

0:23.9

fucking deal. And here we go on your real fucking deal year for wellness. So in review, over the

0:31.8

last few years, we've seen wellness turn into an industry of like a little bit of for profit and also a lot of snake oil.

0:42.4

I'm also very concerned about the large amount of prescriptions that are being passed around

0:48.1

right now and the advertising that we're seeing. I often think about Dr. Wayne Dyer and how he

0:54.1

used to laugh at marketing and advertising

0:56.6

in a way because obviously everyone's trying to sell you something, right? But he says that if you

1:03.2

can sort of see through it and see past it, that this is a really good way to look at life for

1:08.7

2025. In 2024, I think we also saw the decline in a lot of

1:14.1

people going, you know, all out for overposting on fitness and health and people decided to go

1:21.6

a little bit more inwards. I think also there's going to be a taper off in TikTok posts where we overconsume and

1:29.5

oversell ourselves to the point where people are starting to beg for money.

1:34.7

I think this will all taper off over the next few years.

1:38.4

But in 2025, the biggest focus should be yourself going inward and doing for real health and

1:44.0

wellness. I call it FRFR,

1:46.1

wellness, health, cooking, beauty, because it's always been for real on my end. Man, 20 years is a really

1:53.5

long time plus to be doing this. I mean, if we want to get really technical, I started working in

1:59.4

modeling and in restaurants at 15 and actually had to get

2:02.4

a workers permit to do so in the state of California. So whatever that is, that's well over 20 years.
