Welcome back, everybody to the DCL Duo podcast.

This is a special Father's Day edition that we wanted to record to wish all of the

Disney dads out there a wonderful and happy Father's Day. And I want to

take this time to wish the other half of the DCL duo, Brian, a very happy Father's Day.

Well, thanks. That's very nice of you. And a magical and whimsical Father's Day to all the

other Disney fathers out there for sure.

Ryan, why don't you tell our listeners one of your favorite memories, either of being a dad on a Disney Cruise or Disney Park adventure, and then maybe one about spending time with your dad?

Well, so spending time with my dad, we went to Disney World a few few times when I was a kid and I don't know that

I have like these particular standout memories from those trips like in isolation but what I do

remember is my dad investing a lot of time planning those trips and I was always like just super

thankful that he would put that kind of effort into planning our family vacation I could tell he he really wanted to make it special. I don't know, we got to stay at resorts like the Polynesian and the grand Floridian and you know, right on the monorail and experience at the time. It was just to Epcot and Magic Kingdom, really. But I just remember those trips being just a lot of fun. We would always go at Christmas time and he would work really hard to make those trips just super special. And so I really appreciate that. I appreciate it as a kid.

And I think it instilled in me sort of a love for going to theme parks and having that family time.

I guess my own memory, I think I've said this before, like my own memory from a Disney cruise remains to

this day waiting in line to meet Chewbacca on a Star Wars Day at sea and Nathan just

sort of looking at us and telling us that Chewbacca's real because his eyes blink and he makes the

noise and that's just like a magical moment that you know I'm sure you can get that other places

but Disney kind of sets you up for success in those in those ways my more recent favorite

moment was at the parks when we

went on our more recent trip for marathon weekend. And we got to take Nathan to an early morning

magic hour. And he got to ride seven doors mine train like 10 times in a row. And he was just having

a blast. And it was actually not the early morning magic hours like an early morning magic ticketed

event. We've talked about on the show before. But just being able to just leave the roller coaster, walk out, get back on and see how excited he was to get in the front car. And he wanted to take pictures. And he was giggling and laughing and just having a lot of fun. That was just really special. And it was just great to see him having so much fun on the roller coaster.
