It wasn't pretty, but the Bears beat the Lions 23 to 16 on Thanksgiving Day to improve to 8 and 3 on the season.

Gentlemen, this game wasn't pretty.

And there were some tense moments in it, but the Bears come away with a win.

Matt, what's your takeaway?

It didn't have to be.

A lot of times we talked about early in the season, it had to be a pretty game.

As long as they come away with the win, that defense obviously showed up again.

But I'm disappointed in the

offense I mean not chase Daniel but the running game was not existent and this is

a type of game that we need to use that with the backup quarterback you think that

they would lead lean towards the the running game a lot but for me I mean I think

it says that Coach Nakedi believes that

he believes a lot in his system and that the system works regardless of who's running it. I think,

and I think that comes back to bite you more times than not because the players make the system.

So if you don't have the right players in the right spot, which obviously today, I mean, hey, Chase did his thing today.

I think he played as well as he could.

I think he played really good.

I don't think he played great, but I think he played really good for having such a short

week, being the backup quarterback, not really having a rapport with those receivers.

And, I mean, he honestly, the plays he made, he threw to running backs.
