Summary

We all have seasons of overwhelm, whether it's a packed schedule, an insane To Do list, or events that require a lot of emotional processing. I've been navigating my own overwhelm in the last few months while juggling a larger-than-normal workload with travel and family obligations. So I sat down to make a list of the things that are helping me handle it. Circumstances are often largely out of our control, but we can still find pockets of peace that keep us in the present and help us maintain a clear mind. I made this episode for me, but I hope it helps you, too. digging deeper and sharing our stuff. I'll go first. The last eight weeks, the

0:52.4

last two months have been some of the absolute busiest of my life and I do not

1:00.5

wear that like a badge I do not wear that like a badge. I do not worship at the altar of busy at all. In fact, this is not the way that I want to live. It is circumstantial and we all have these seasons that are

1:19.2

circumstantially busier than others. And I've found myself after the first, I don't know, maybe six weeks,

1:28.9

really doing well. Like I was really doing great for a while. I loved the work I was doing. I was managing to juggle the to-do list.

1:40.0

I was really feeling productive and a lot of forward motion and then I hit a wall maybe three weeks ago.

1:51.2

I hit a wall of overwhelm. It's not that I was less productive or making it

2:00.1

through the to-do list any less or worse than I had been.

2:05.8

It's just a person can only live at level 10 for so long,

2:11.8

and eventually you do hit a wall like emotionally or just productivity

2:19.2

wise or whatever and for me I definitely came to that end and for me that didn't mean that

2:26.7

I stopped all the things one can't usually stop all the things. It meant that I changed modes into like this constant state of overwhelm.

2:39.2

And for me, living in a state of overwhelm is actually harder in some ways than living busy.

2:48.0

Overwhel feels like I'm drowning it feels like it's always going to be like this.
