Just as pediatric patients are not small adults, geriatric patients are not just old adults.

The older patient isn't just sicker. They can be sneaky. Their favorite game is to hide how sick

they are, and then burst from behind the curtain of cognitive error and yell, ha, got you again.

And nowhere should this be more of the case than in today's topic, trauma.

This two-part pair of episodes on trauma and the older patient are an exploration of both minor and major trauma.
