Hey, everybody, Tom Woods here. Very glad to be joined by Eric Brakey today. He served two terms in the

state senate in Maine in the second district and is currently seeking the, I guess not open seat,

but contested with a Democrat, a congressional seat in Maine for the U.S. Congress.

And I can tell you, he's an all-around great guy, absolute 100%

Hey, Tom. Glad to be on with you. I remember you from back in the Ron Paul days.

I remember hearing about your election to the state senate in Maine and being very happy about that.

I just go back from a trip to the Portland area, which I think is maybe, I don't know,

maybe not quite Eric Brakey country.

Maybe you might put it that way.

But I understand that you are

either planning to announce or have announced you're running for a congressional seat in a district

in Maine. So let's talk about that. First of all, what is this district? What does it include?

Yeah, so there are two congressional districts in Maine. There's the first district, you know, around Portland.

That's where all the socialists live.

And then there's the second district, which is very rural.
