Summary

On a previous episode I predicted that the Democrats would not let the transformation of the Supreme Court stand, and would instead try to revive the idea of packing the Court. I was right. In this episode I discuss the history behind the number of justices on the Court, the FDR Court-packing episode, and current proposals from Democratic officials.

toward some kind of originalism in the court's jurisprudence under Trump. And then, of course,

with them. There was just no way they were going to sit back and let that happen.

1:58.8

And I said, there is going to start being talk of

packing the court again. And by packing the court, I remember I have about 17% of my audience. It's not

from the United States. So you may not know the term. But it just refers to expanding the Supreme

2:13.9

Court to accommodate more justices. So right now, the court consists of nine justices,
