Today's guest is author Ed Szezeski. Ed and I have a great conversation about memoir,

creativity, and his get off my lawn attitude when it comes to reading.

Thanks so much for having me and it's great to be here.

Okay, Ed, tell us a little bit about yourself.

I'm an author. I've written a couple books of copy-house theology and a Christian survival guide and

more recently some independent stuff called Pre-Right Grow and Right Without Crushing Your Soul.

I do freelancing. I'm home with our kids in the mornings and do kind of a mix of parenting and

working and kind of running my own freelancing business. Okay, and tell us a little bit about the

role that reading plays in your life. Reading is definitely a source of entertainment.

It's the diversion. I like to read a book in the evening. We don't want a television,

so that's really important to me to spend time reading at night if I have the time for it.

But also just for a spiritual growth, for personal growth as a writer, I like to read stuff that
