When I think of full-time guides who are doing it right, I think of Jeff Forsy. Jeff epitomizes a good guide,

professional, likable, clever, and fishy, but what's really interesting about Jeff is that he's

living what many people would call the dream.

An Ohio boy who worked hard to climb the ranks, he now splits his year guiding between

Mongolia and New Zealand.

In this episode of Ancord, I sit down with Jeff at his home in Wannica for some

casual late night conversation about how he pulled it all together, what he would do differently,

and fishing etiquette everyone should know. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I kind of grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati.

With regular parents, what was life like growing up?

Life was good growing up.

Yep, regular parents, mom and dad, they're still together, and yeah, they're great.

It was kind of like the first suburb out of the city so to get to

kind of you know downtown since he is probably like maybe 20 or 30 minute drive for us

30 minutes max I'd say but not too long to kind of get out to what we call the country either, you know, kind of like 40 minutes in your kind of in rural Ohio out there.
