Some of you may be familiar with a number of recent debates between the renowned psychologist, Jordan Peterson, and the outspoken atheist and religious critic, Sam Harris.

Now, if you're not familiar with Harris, he's the fellow who recently ended his career by making the audacious claim that he could have cared less if Hunter Biden had corpses of children in his basement,

and Sam Harris still would have voted for Biden. He even would so far as to defend the deliberate censoring of the Hunter Biden laptop story in order to defeat Trump.

So, while Harris has revealed the absurdity of his politics himself, it was Jordan Peterson who dismantled Harris's entire atheistic worldview exposing it for the fraud that it actually is.

We're going to analyze how Peterson systematically deconstructed Harris's secular ideology, and we'll see precisely why Peterson thinks a new Christian age may indeed be rising.

What worries me about your enterprise, Jordan, and the way in which you seem to be linking our rational project and our scientific project with religion is right here.

There's a difference between, and map magic as a decent analogy, there's a difference between, like paradoxically, real magic is fake magic, and fake magic is real magic.

The only real magic in the world produced by magicians is the fake magic, where the magician, like someone like Darren Brown will tell you, actually, no, I can't read minds, and I did put the rabbit in the hat, and this is fake.

But the surprise is that even knowing its fake, you can't understand how this effect is being achieved, whereas the fake magicians are the ones who are pretending to be real, who are hiding, who are not acknowledging the real mechanics behind what is in fact effective, you know, the illusion that the rabbit pops out of the hat.

And what I worry with some of you are the way in which you discuss the power of story, the power of metaphor, and the religious anchoring there is that the leverage and the utility can be had even while acknowledging the real mechanics of it, you know, the fake, the fakeness of the magic, right?

And you seem to suspect that it can, that takes all of the wind out of the sails.

Now, just to be clear here with regard to Harris's concern here, Sam Harris believes that science and religion are antithetical to one another, they both occupy fundamentally different domains of thought.

And so, for Harris, whenever Jordan Peterson differs to the theological, the mythological, or the narrative, or for explanations of reality, Peterson's explanations cease to be scientific, and therefore fail to explain reality since reality is ultimately known through scientific rationalism, which for Harris is the polar opposite of religion.

Here's Peterson's response.

I'm not so sure, I'm not so sure what if it's fake and what if it isn't.

Well, I would say that I do consciously participate in the process that you described.

But you see, I would also make the case, and this is certainly one of the things that we've been discussing, that you do it unconsciously.

And let me make the case for that, because I've been thinking about a lot, and I'd like to see your response.
