Summary

On the night of June 5, 1996, Darlie Routier’s life changed forever when her two young sons, Devon and Damon, were brutally stabbed in their Rowlett, Texas, home. Darlie claimed an intruder broke in, attacking her children and injuring her as she fought back. But within days, suspicion turned to Darlie herself, and just months later, she was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death—a verdict that continues to divide public opinion. In this episode of Mama Mystery, we examine the evidence, from the 911 call and the controversial ‘silly string’ video to the untested fingerprint and DNA evidence. Was Darlie the victim of a rushed investigation and wrongful conviction, or was she hiding a dark secret behind her suburban facade? Join us as we explore the tragic loss of two young lives and a mother’s decades-long battle for justice. Learn more about your ad choices.
