Summary

Today, we sit down with Lily Meschi, the director of partner relations at Iran Alive Ministries, to hear her testimony of coming to Christ after growing up Muslim and surviving an abusive, arranged marriage. She shares with us her story of how she came to Christ in the midst of that abusive marriage after a family friend shared the gospel with her. She tells us about what it's like to grow up Muslim in Iran in the aftermath of the Islamic Revolution and how women suffer under the oppressive regime. 1:00.8	Lily Meshi. I first and foremost, I'm a daughter of the most high God. And professionally, I serve at a ministry called Iran Alive Ministries where we air the love of Christ

1:30.3	So I was born and raised in Iran and when I was 16, my parents wanted us to immigrate from Iran to outside of Iran. So anywhere
1:40.6	except Iran due to some, you know, challenges and um my dad's business and all that
1:47.9	and so we moved to Germany where my mom's side of the family lived at the time and um I I lived there
1:55.6	for a couple years and then my dad started a business venture in the U.S. with my uncle who had been here for a long time.
