And another great day in this greatest nation on God's Green Earth, but not such a great day for Wall Street.

The stock market looks frankly terrible and

worrisome. And it's one of those things that obviously President Trump is going to have to face

when just a couple of weeks from now he officially takes over the leadership of this country and reoccupies the Oval Office.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average has been sinking into the history books, as they put it on CNBC.

Today, the Story Index is on track for its 10th straight losing day following a disappointing

rate outlook by the Federal Reserve, which went ahead and, by the way, lowered interest rates

again, which usually has a good impact on Wall Street. but the Dow earlier today had lost more than 400 points,

almost a full percent on track for its worst losing streak since an 11-day slide.

Way back in 1974, the 30-stock average posted a nine-day losing streak yesterday.

It's longest since 1978.

The S&P 500 lost more than 1%.

And the NASDAQ composite shed 1.3%.

Now, all of this is related, obviously, to the disaster that is going on,

with the Congress trying to keep the government open past Friday night. This is not a good time considering all of the travel and the festivities surrounding the Christmas holiday.
