Hey there, I'm so glad you stopped by for this podcast. We hope so much we can serve you today.

0:19.9

Would you turn with me to John chapter 2, the very end of the chapter. You and I are

0:27.0

searching some distinctives in the Gospel of John. We've been looking at things like in the

0:33.8

beginning was the Word and the Word was made flesh to dwell among us. The 14th verse tells us.

0:41.9

We looked last week at the only time in scripture in any one of the Gospels that the wedding

0:47.5

in Cana was discussed. The first miracle as Christ turned the water into the wine. Those are the

0:55.6

kinds of things we've been discussing. I am not certain that this one falls

1:03.5

validly into the same category of distinctive kinds of things we'd see in this fourth Gospel.

1:10.3

But it's distinctive to me. I wonder if that counts at all. Is it for some reason? It's something

for word and I realized obviously these verses have been important to me for a time. What would

1:39.5

God have us learn from them? So I bring this to you today. I'm not sure that this really pulls

1:44.9

itself out as a distinctive in the Gospel of John, but it's distinctive to me. And I think it is

1:51.2

very, very worthy of our consideration. John 2, just a couple of verses this morning. I want to read

1:57.1

23 through 25. I ask you as I read it and as you read it silently, let this thing get in. Let this

2:04.2

thing absorb down into the marrow of our bones and let God minister this word to us. Now it says in

2:09.3

verse 23, John 2, while he and we're talking about Christ was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast.

2:16.1

Many people saw the miraculous signs he was doing and believed in his name, but Jesus would not

2:22.5

entrust himself to them for he knew all men. He did not need men's testimony about man

2:30.0

for he knew what was in a man. It says they believed in his name, but in verse 24, key part for us,
