My entitled classmate steals my computer right off my desk, denying ever taking it when I desperately start searching for it.

But after the school administration and the principal get involved to find my computer,

the culprit eventually steps forward just to avoid a group punishment for the entire class.

But now I feel like a jerk for even saying anything in the first place, and at this point I seriously don't know what to do.

Here's what happened. This story also came from the Am I the Jerk

So this story happened a couple years ago

when I was attending middle school.

I was in my first period, which was art class,

and there are these three troublemakers who sit in the corner of the class.

I sat near them but not completely with them.

Let's call them Tony, Tom, and Bob.

I had my headphones ining from my

to ask the teacher about the criteria for an upcoming project.

While standing there I heard the sound of my headphones

disconnecting from my computer.

I turned around to look at my computer but I didn didn't notice it gone, and that's because of my classmates computer.

But when I walked back to my seat, I realized my computer is not there.

I asked my neighbors if they took it and they did not, but my mind immediately went to the kids in the back, especially Tom.

Now, Tom was known in our school to be a troublemaker and generally not a very good student.

They are the type of kids to not pay attention in class and swear during class.
