humdinger in Basel to top group D. Gosh, I said to you the night before, Rach, like how this

podcast could go one or two ways, how we're either going to be in this like insufferable silence,

this doom and gloom, this kind of like cloud of like negativity. And yet we're sat here in this glorious little booth. I'm in

Farranden, you're in Switzerland, celebrating the fact that England have progressed. Despite a very

shaky start in that first game, we didn't know that that was, it was far from being a given in those

early, early couple of days in the tournament. So how are we feeling, right, it's just first off,

before we even get stuck into the performance. I mean, talk me through the elation of being in

Switzerland with the lionesses in a quarterfinals. Yeah, it's, um, uh, great, a weight off, you know,

coming into this tournament, knowing England were in the group of death, how difficult it was going to be.

You know, if you told me that England would score 11 goals in this group, you would assume that they would top it.

But no. France equally, I think. No, I think France also scored 11 goals. Yeah, the fact that they've gotten out of the group, especially after the first performance, yeah, I think people will be pleased, especially the nature of both wins.

And just from like a coverage point of view, it's so much more enjoyable when it's not doom and gloom negative kind of hyper, hyperbole kind of overreaction.

So I'm, yeah, very pleased that at least they're

through to the quarterfinals, at least the quarterfinals, right? They've got that far rather than

we can like look at that rather than think beyond the quarterfinals. I think it's that.
