0:03.8	2020 now. This is the first episode of the year. It's January 8th and I've been
0:09.2	waiting actually. President Trump was supposed to make an announcement on
0:12.1	what happened last night regarding
0:14.7	the missile attack on one of our bases in Iraq from Iran.
0:19.0	And there's a lot of change going on.
0:21.8	2020 is taking us by storm.
0:23.8	I am trying to hit the ground running,
0:25.6	but I'll be honest, I'm still in the Christmas fog a bit.
0:28.1	I still have sugar and soda from Christmas,
0:30.4	and hopefully I'll eliminate it by next week,
0:32.4	but I'm not, I'm just not ready. You know what I mean? I'm not ready to start the new year in a way, but I have to be because it's coming and you know maybe you feel like that maybe you're like me. You don't like change that much. I tend to love adventure, but I want to come home and know that everything is the way that it was before. And that's just not how life works, especially in the last 150 years. We've had so many technological advances.

0:58.1	I mean, in some ways we do and it's not all good.
1:00.2	Some of it is good. And there's kind of like two kinds of people that I've noticed.

1:09.0	Not just technology, any new advancement, any new system, if it's new, it's shiny shiny they love it. And then I tend to be in this camp of let's proceed with caution. Let's make sure that this is really what we should be doing. I mean if you knew how many years I held out on the smartphone issue, even
1:25.2	with my wife saying I need a smartphone. No, I don't. You know, that's kind of who I am. That's where I came
1:30.7	from. I will embrace things that I can see make life, you know, better in the sense of more efficient, but I just I really want to make sure it's not having negative implications. I want to look towards the wisdom of the past
