Hello, I'm Dr. Stephen Hassan with another episode of the influence continuum.

And today I have a very special guest. I've been wanting to interview Christy Norbert

for months now. We finally are doing it.

And I want to just say that Christy is phenomenal.

She is an upstander, licensed social worker,

co-founder and executive director of Empowered Network.

Used to be Empower Her Network,

but they've had a expansion in their mission. We'll have Christy explain all of that. And I'll just give you, my listeners, a little more background on you, Christy,

before we jump in. But I'll just say that I've worked with Carissa Phelps,

who's a lawyer and a sex trafficking survivor and who does runaway girl, and we did ending

the game together. I've known her and admire her so much. And I was talking with

her about the Larry Ray cult, that Hulu did a four-part series. It's three parts and then

another part you have to actually look for, nightline impact. But it was a follow-up after the initial series.

Anyway, I introduced one of the survivors from that cult, Felicia Rosario, who got a scholarship

to do her Harvard undergrad and became a medical doctor,

Columbia, and was outdoing her psychiatric residency when her siblings drew her into the

Larry Ray cult, and she spent 10 years as a trafficking victim and just an

incredibly brilliant, wonderful human being. So I introduced her to Carissa, and, you know,

Felicia is trying to, like, have a job and reenter reality and all of these programming stuff in her head.

And I think she did a program in New York City where she was, I think it was the ending the game,

actually.

And then she was given my book combating.
