Empowered, Day 34. Patience.

The National Sales Executives Association

has discovered that 48% of all salespersons

make one call, then give up on the prospective buyer. 25% quit after the second call.

12% call three times, then quit. 10% keep calling until they succeed, for 80% of all new sales

are made after the fifth call to the same prospect. Success seldom comes quickly with God's people.

Abraham was 75 when God first promised him an offspring and 100 when Isaac was born.

Moses was a shepherd for 40 years and wandered in the wilderness for 40 more until coming to the edge of the

promised land. If you are to succeed in life and in God's kingdom, we must have the fruit of the

spirit called patience. Patience translates a word which literally means long or large-tempered.

It can be rendered to be long-suffering, patiently

enduring under injuries inflicted by others. God displays such patience with us. He is patient

toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
