Let's say your cognitive load is like a bathtub.

And when you put water in the bathtub, the bathtub can only hold so much water.

Think about your cognitive load like that. So the more you add,

the more your tub overflows, the worse you aren't handling things, the sloppier you get. You're not good. So you have to be very selective on what you choose to deal with.
