0:04.4	I mean you can't brush your teeth for eight hours on January 1st and say,

0:24.0	require you to lead. Lead messaging, lead your customers, lead your team, and
0:27.9	lead yourself on days when that is the last thing you want to do.
0:32.5	In a certain way, I've come to know this to be true,
0:34.6	but I didn't accept it until I was forced to step up as a leader.
0:38.4	So I've told you before, but my dad immigrated
0:40.3	to this country from Mexico and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, which is how he got his
0:45.0	citizenship. Now he didn't have a proper education, he didn't know how to fully read, and so he took
0:49.9	a lot of jobs as he started his family. He cleaned septic tanks. He was a
0:54.3	kitchen cook at a university. He sold shoes at Big Five and he even took weekend
0:58.7	jobs as a gardener. When I was 13 years old, he started a backyard Bible study in East LA with about 8 people.
1:05.0	And a few years later, it grew into a church of thousands of people.
1:08.4	Still to this day, his church is one of the largest churches in Los Angeles.
1:12.3	Now I'm sharing this because I sat front row
1:15.0	to the evolution of my father becoming a leader.
