technical issue and i was a little stressed about it but we are on and it's working. You have a really good

poker face. If I was on the Titanic, I'd want to be on it with you because you are so good

in what could potentially be a crisis. Yes. Or at least you look like you're good. Were you good?

What was going on in your mind? I hate missing a show and you know this and so the thought of not being able

to show up on a Thursday for you and the Nazis stresses me out more than you know but here we are. We love love when you're here but we should say too like you know, Pierce, we're not earning money and becoming rich, rich, rich for doing this. We do it because we love it and so if you need to take a day off. It's all good

and I've actually become surprisingly good at doing

these solo shows. I because we love it. And so if you need to take a day off, it's all good.

And I've actually become surprisingly good at doing these solo shows. I don't enjoy them as much. It's always more fun to talk to somebody that you really like. But I can talk. So people joke that I can talk to myself. I could talk to a wall. I could talk to a table. Well, I'm not doing that. I'm talking to the Nautese, which is always a really big pleasure.

We had a strategy. I have to rush at, what about 9 o'clock this morning to go and do a radio interview. And so I love doing publicity. It helps the podcast. And I enjoy it. I'm good at it. I'm a good guest. And so I was under a little bit of a time crunch. But what we decided is we're going to try and fix the problem and we set ourselves a time period. We've got 10 minutes to fix the problem. And if we don't, then I'll do a solo show. I think it's good to set like sort of, not boundaries, but strategies.

That makes a good idea, I think. It does. In every part of your life, not just the podcast.

Absolutely. Let me give a quick plug yesterday. I was invited to see Sarah Paulson's new player

appropriate on Broadway. It's by second stage, and it also stars Corey Stoll, who you will know as Mike Prince

from Billions. That tall, handsome guy with the bald head. It's brilliant. This play is shockingly,

shockingly amazing. What happens is somebody dies in the family. The father dies and all the kids

go back to the house in the south

and start cleaning out

this old plantation style

house and they come across
