some offense today. I like that. The big news, Travis Kelsey signs a contract extension

with the Chief's reports say four years for 57 million dollars worth of new money no new money this year

but a guaranteed sizable roster bonus is due next year.

What it means is ties to the chiefs

for tight-end Travis Kelsey for the next six years.

When he's done with this contract, he'll be 35, 36 years old.

So this is one of those contracts that's like a forever deal.

What did you think when you saw this contract extension?

Well, it's not that surprising.

We've been talking for a while that the chiefs were going to try and figure out some way to

get Kelsey extended before he got very much further into his existing contract.

I believe the Nerd Squad Fellows were speculating that not too long ago,

thinking that was going to be the most likely thing that would happen.

In fact, even before a Chris Jones contract.

So it's not that surprising.

It's interesting that it happens on the same day

as George Kittle gets his deal in San Francisco,

but indications are the chiefs have been working on this for a few weeks.
