Unexpectedly, honestly.

We talked a lot about this heading in.

Shefter had the like report recently that they were like involved.

You've talked a lot about it as a potential like makes sense kind of pivot move after

not resigning Jalen phillips all that stuff

pretty awesome honestly in my opinion like two thirds feels like a fair price like i don't think how he fleece

them or anything not a how he sees in a good solid trade i think the contract seems like a really

fair price for a 28 year old who's done what he's done at the NFL level. Like it just seems like it makes sense all around kind of thing. Yeah. So I'll talk about the player first and then the compensation. I think I'm a little more down on the compensation than you are. But in terms of the player, maybe it's a little much. Yeah, I think it's, I think it's top dollar is how I would describe it.

Like I don't think this is, I think they paid a lot of money to him, right?

But we'll get to that in a second.

So I think as a player, this is a major bonus for the Eagles.

Like he is a very good edge rusher.

The last three years, he's been 40 plus hurries. Last year he was at 45, the year before that, I think the past two years, he had 60 plus hurries. So while the sack numbers have been inconsistent, right? Like the first three years of his career. Well, they were good two years ago. Yeah, two years in a row, but the first three years of his career, he didn't get a lot of sacks. I think it had like three and a half total or something like, or maybe I think it was 10. But regardless, the last three years, he's been much, much, much, much, much better. So those two years where he had the 24 and a half sacks, the hurries last year stayed somewhat on the same pace as the sacks season. Now, three and a half sacks, like you don't love to pay a player coming off of a down year. You don't love to trade that compensation. But I think in terms of just, I think the drastic sack numbers shouldn't be as concerning to people as it might look on paper. Like he did a very good job getting after the quarterback year last year. And just to put into perspective how good he was, Jalick's Hunt, I think
