We've been talking over the last couple of days about Lucas Breichael in Vancouver's a team that came up yesterday.

And that's where he ends up for a 2027 fourth round pick.

Look, like the kid, wanted him to succeed.

But he was given every opportunity.

Last night he was given his final opportunity,

starting on the top line with Connor and Bardard.

And his last shift as a Black Hawk came with 18 minutes and 34 seconds left in the third period. That was his last shift.

Jeff Lashel had seen enough,

decided to play 10 forwards instead of playing Lucas Reichel the rest of the game.

And that was it.

Maybe this deal was in the works at that point.
