All right, Elon Musk officially closed the deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion and

he would like to assure you that he's buying it for all the right reasons.

He released a statement to Twitter advertisers and part of it says it is important to have

the future of civilization to have a common digital town square where a wide range of

beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner without resorting to violence.

There's currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right wing, far

left wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society.

And he goes under his watch, Twitter will not become a free-for-all hellscape or anything

can be said with no consequences, which I think a lot of people fear.

Um, I think it's already happening.

I mean, I don't know how Elon Musk is going to come along, but there's no such thing

as nice debates anymore when you look at social media and it's like, I'm right, you're

wrong.

He's already made some really big moves.

He's already fired the CEO, the CFO, the head of legal and general counsel.

So those are four major players.
