know thank you we are grateful sweetie I texted you I was quite timid about it. Because of the

4th of July this week, a lot of people have been off from the show. So yesterday I texted you

quite timidly saying, I am planning to do a show tomorrow. You're always welcome. And you wrote

back immediately, I'm in. Professional. Professional. Well, we've got 20 minutes of gossip and then

Corey, you can go back to swimming around the pool or back to bed. That even says even better.

We do tape a little early. Okay, let's jump into the show. What time is it, my friends, it is.

So as we reported a couple of months ago,

Ellen's back out there trying to make somewhat of a comeback doing a comedy special.

So she's touring around doing this comedy special well.

People at the show are telling me exactly what she had to say.

And she's firing back at mean girl accusations that

played her talk show and really contributed to her decision to step away. So during a recent

stand-up in Santa Rosa in California, the comedian addressed the controversial label and all the things that have been attached to her.

She said the following quote.

I am many things, but I am not mean.

I am a demanding, impatient and tough and strong woman, but I am not mean.
