He is the author of a recent book called The Revolt of the Public and the Crisis of Authority in the New Millennium.

He had an essay out in a recent issue of City Journal entitled The Elite Panic of 2022 that I recommend to everyone on the City Journal website. It struck me as something that explained a lot in what we see out in

the public political space these days. The essay has a long subtitle that refers to, quote, startling developments that, quote,

threaten progressives grip on power.
