David Follerunschu has committed to the University of Notre Dame.

He's from St. Patrick High School.

He's a consensus top 100 recruit, number two delinement in the country,

according to On three in rivals and

Notre Dame was in a heated recruiting battle to get this one and they got it done.

This is a big one, Trevin.

This is one that's, you know, the backstory is going to be very interesting.

But, you know, they have an opportunity to have a big time D line class.

But if it was going to reach its full potential and sort of be that that gap closing stacking

classes in a row type of class they needed to get some elite players and this is the first

really big domino to fall so many aspects of this are important Trevor getting a Chicago kid

getting a big time detackle for the second year in a row, talented player.

This is a big one. I can't wait to talk about it. I can't wait to break it down. This is going to be huge for Notre Dame. It is, man. I'm excited. You guys know how we get down. We're talking backstory. We're going to talk about David Fuller Run Shue's class impact on the 2027 recruiting class. obviously we got to dive into his film.

Then we're going to talk about what's next at the defensive tackle position.

So Brian, what all went into this massive recruitment? Well, this is an interesting one, Trevor, because this is another one of those kids. And we've talked about it on past shows where Notre Dame kind of got on David Fullerunsch a little bit late. But the good thing for them and why it didn't really hurt him is because a lot of people really got on him late.

He really came out of nowhere.

This was not a guy that that has been some long time, big time player, this guy that going back to his freshman sophomore year has been considered one of the top players in the country.

He had a breakout season this past year, Trow.

I think his numbers were something like 55 tackles for law or 55 tackles, 18, that's

like Elijah Golden numbers.
