0:00.0	If you have your Bibles, open them up today to First Kings, chapter 18, First Kings,
0:29.8	chapter 18, and as you're turning there, let me just say something that is so important to God above anything else in our lives.
0:38.3	God wants to have all of our hearts, our worship, our focus, our adoration.
0:46.2	God wants to be number one and have all of our hearts.
0:50.1	In fact, the very first of the 10 commandments, command number one, God says, you shall have no other gods before me.
1:00.1	When Jesus was questioned what is the most important commandment, Jesus said above all else, we are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.
1:11.4	God wants all of our hearts, not just part of our hearts, which gives good reason if you are Satan, if you are the spiritual enemy, what would you try to do to hurt God?
1:24.7	Well, if I were Satan, I would try to take the hearts of the people away from the one true God and try to get people to worship and serve false gods, which is something that Satan's been doing throughout history.
1:39.7	Putting false gods in the place of the one true God, it is called the sin of idolatry.
1:45.6	Now, if you're taking notes at all of our campuses, here's kind of a key thought for the day, write this down.
1:50.4	False God's promise would only the true God provides.
1:57.2	False God's promise would only the true God provides.
2:02.8	For example, money is a pretty popular false God.
2:06.9	If you agree, say yes. Yes, money is very popular.
2:10.4	What does money do? Money promises what only God can provide.
2:14.0	Money says if you have enough money, you'll be happy and secure.
2:17.7	That's what many people believe about the false God of money.
2:20.9	But the reality is once you get enough money and someone says, you have cancer and you're going to die in 30 days.
2:26.9	You realize that no matter how much money you have, it doesn't make you secure. It's a false promise.
2:31.6	Money says if you have enough, you'll be happy, but it doesn't matter how much money you have.
2:35.6	If one day you find out you've lost one of your own children, there's no amount of money that can buy your happiness in that moment.
2:41.9	It's a false promise. It's a false God.
