We're going to go back to June 2019 to let you hear a trip we made to a small island

which lies in the Irish Sea somewhere between the United Kingdom and Ireland.

It's called the Isle of Man, a place that I had never visited before, but you had Ewan.

Yeah, my first real job in radio was on Isle of Man as a junior reporter

for Manx radio before I got

removed from the House of Keys

the Manx Parliament because I wasn't wearing a tie.

Anyway, it's been years since I was there

and it was great to remind myself

just the riches of the island it has to offer

not just the landscape, but there's a whole history, the culture, and a very distinctive type of cat.

What I find extraordinary about the place was that I'd never been there before, but it just felt so familiar.

You know, it reminded me a lot of the West Coast, the Northern Ireland's of Scotland, and one place that really brought that home to me was our visit to the small village of Craig Neish in the very south of the west coast, the Northern Isles of Scotland.
