Brands 4th POV chapter with psychologist Gregory Webster. Greg is one of my favorite people

to theory craft with. Greg always comes up with a crazy but really compelling alternative

theory that makes me read the story differently and there's just a ton of stuff like that

in this chapter with Brand. Stephen I will be covering KISSED BY FIRE that's season

3 episode 5 is that famous episode with Jamie and Brienne in the bathhouse without further

ado here is medievalist Janna Matthews. Oh here's a good one was wildfire real. Wildfire

is a portrait in Game of Thrones no but it's based on this concept of Greek fire and so

what they did we don't exactly know the composition of it but there's all sorts of these fantastic

images and a mid-manu script documents about showing this incendiary material that it's

just this kind of like long tubes of basically like fire that people would use usually

on boats that they would sort of like you know take these bombs and sort of like throw them

onto other boats and they would explode and we don't exactly know what the composition

is but what scientists and what archaeologists have kind of deemed most likely is some form

of like petroleum tar mix right that it rolled like a substance is sort of rolled into

it and then set on fire and then it just right explode and so you can imagine also what

that would look like and on the footing of the water and petroleum does have this ability

to to glow into into habit that color so yes so yes there is for the historical precedent

for all. My class this semester was a graduate class on social psychology okay it's pretty

straightforward. My very first class was a social site class I took it at a junior college

in California probably 25 years ago. Oh wow the professor for the class I I don't know if this
