1:01.6 | Well, Eleanor is one of those people whose story is always out there. |
1:06.1 | And I was really interested in her, I think, before I started writing history, and I'd read |
1:12.6 | all the novels about her and all the biographies about her. |
1:16.7 | Then I researched and wrote about one of her descendants, Eleanor of Castile. |
1:22.1 | And Eleanor of Aquitaine kind of loomed over the story somewhat as a great influence. |
1:27.4 | So when my publisher said, who do you want to write about next? |
1:31.7 | It was obvious that it had to be owner of Aquitaine. |
1:34.8 | I mean, it's an offer you couldn't refuse, right? |
1:37.1 | I mean, I'm happy that you did it because she's someone that we all love, |
1:41.4 | that we all love reading about, right? |
1:43.1 | Yes, absolutely. |
1:45.3 | Highly controversial, highly interesting. |
1:48.2 | And her story is, you know, it's got a lot of really interesting true stuff. |
