In the Western world today, self-sufficiency is seen as a virtue.

It seems like everywhere you look, there are books and articles and videos about it,

but Nancy DeMoss Walgamuth says that's not the perspective we should have.

If you want a relationship, an intimate relationship with God,

you're going to have to come to know him out of your weakness and need, saying, Lord, I have no source of

blessing other than you.

I want you to think about the most recent newborn you've seen. Maybe you're holding one right now.

Silly questions, right?

We all know that a newborn can't do any of that.

He can't even hold up his own head.

Well, did you know that you and I should be like that? I don't mean we can't

hold up our heads or feed ourselves, but we should be completely dependent on God, just like a baby

is on his parents. Nancy will talk about that today. Yesterday, she began a series called

The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are safe. Those that know
