Hey welcome to a very special solo episode of Everford Radio. No real big intro, no big transition.

Kind of coming to you all here a little bit humbled. I'm actually recording this on Monday, May 25th, 2020.

Today's Memorial Day here in the United States of America. This holiday is where we take a moment, we take a day to really

honor the fallen service members of our country, people in our military that paid the ultimate cost.

They gave the ultimate sacrifice.

They gave their lives for our freedom.

They gave their lives defending something that they believed was more important than

them more bigger than them just the greater good you know and this really

hits home for me because if you're new to the show and you don't really know my background.

I am a veteran.

I served in 2003 to 2009.

I was active duty army for six years.

I followed in my father's footsteps and his father before him and his

father before him and so on and so forth a really really multi-generational long

family history of service and that was very very cool to me it was more appealing to me at the time as a 17 year old than going to college and pursuing something that I thought I had an interest in, but honestly I didn't really know what I

wanted then. I can tell you now at 34 years old, sometimes those days still hit hard. I love what I do and I show up every day to my content

creation to my podcast to to social media to email to my clients to all the things

that it I guess really means to be a modern entrepreneur, laptop warrior,

digital nomad, whatever the cool trending phrase is these days.

I show up and I have purpose to it and no matter what I do I always know it comes back to these two words that define my life that are tattooed in my arm that are the name of the show ever forward.

And I have to believe, or I choose to believe,

that every person who paid the ultimate price
