Ryan Webb finished a game on Sunday which gives him 78 career games finished without a save.

What is the Matt Albers update?

Matt Albers remains on the shelf. However the Astros had Raoul Valdez close a game for them yesterday.

Raoul Valdez is, I think that's his second career save. He has an ERA of 9.

Not what you consider a closer type. His one save came back in his rookie year in 2010.

At this point you'd have to say they actually let Jerome Williams start the ninth inning after having thrown like nine and a half in the game already.

You'd have to say that that closer job is wide open. I would say that it is more perilous than we thought.

Could be but the lead is down to only five.

Do you remember how we used to discuss the evolution of playing or post game celebrations?

The Orioles did a thing this weekend where Nick Marquakis had a walkoff single and he was brought a pie which he ate from and then the mascot was pieced.

Yes.

That was an innovation in celebrations.

It's only a matter of time until the pie is a flash mob.

Or like it'll be like Joseph Gordon Levitt will come out and start dancing.

And there will be an animated bluebird.
