Good morning. It is a New Week and a new episode, episode 29 of effectively wild.

0:20.9

The Daily Baseball Prospectus podcast, you are either on your work or at work and thrilled to be at work or on your work,

0:28.9

on your way to work because you have a new episode of us to listen to. I am Ben Lindbergh in

0:34.2

New York, New York, and as usual, in Long Beach, in his car with the door open, Sam Miller. How

0:40.8

are you Sam? How was your weekend? It was great. I'm energized by how chirpy you are. Yeah.

0:46.7

Well, I was outside about this weekend and by the pool? Not by the pool, but I went bike riding

0:53.0

in the sun for hours, and it was very nice, although I am in considerable discomfort now.

0:58.9

Were you bike riding in Manhattan? Yeah, I was, over by the river, and I won't go into too much

1:53.6

are lousy this year. And I just wanted to find out whether you think either one is going to be

2:02.3

a contender in 2013. Off the top of my head, I would say probably not. Not that they will be awful,

2:15.8

but I don't think I see that. I guess, I mean, I picked the Red Sox to be really, really good

2:22.0

every year. And I've been wrong a lot about that lately. I guess if it didn't work out this season,

2:31.1

now they just traded their whole team. Obviously, I mean, it's at least likely that they'll have

2:36.4

better health in the future. But I don't know. I don't see them being as good as the Yankees
